Monday July 30th to Monday August 6th: SEA TO SEA, THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS 7 nights Full Board 595 pounds sterling per person Board after 4 pm on 30th Inverness (Muirtown) to sail on 1st, disembark 6th August Fort William (Muirtown) after breakfast. New to our regular itinerary – a popular trip experiencing both sea and canal Sail out to sea exploring the Moray and Cromarty Firths. See dolphins and maybe whales around Chanory Point, fish for your lunch and explore the historic village of Cromarty before returning to Muirtown. Travel up the locks, along the canal on to Loch Ness passing the famous Urquhart Castle and maybe even spotting the Loch’s most famous inhabitant Nessie. Opportunity to stop at Foyers to visit the waterfalls. Sail onwards to Fort Augustus to sample Scottish hospitality, visit the Clansman Centre or walk along General Wade’s Military Road. Continue up the flight of locks along the canal to Loch Oich. Here there are opportunities to walk, cycle, try water sports, or relax in the pool and sauna. Later, travel in the dinghy to take cream tea at Glengarry Castle Hotel situated in its commanding position on the side of the loch. Travel through the beautiful Laggan Avenue to Loch Lochy and Gairlochy. Along the canal to descend Neptune’s Staircase at Banavie to complete your journey at Corpach.
